A beautiful arts and crafts styled property was being refurbished by our clients
to an exceptionally high standard. They commissioned us to create very special front
and rear gardens that would enhance the property even further.
For the hard landscaping we used reclaimed York stone
with a new sawn banding trimmed
with bricks chosen to complement the colour of the house itself. Further interest
and texture was added by laying brick and stone details in patterns inspired by
the arts and crafts movement.
On the main patio, which is large enough to entertain and dine in comfort, a purpose
designed store cupboard with
in-built barbecue was constructed. Along the side of
the property we added a seating area overlooking a tranquil water feature. And,
to frame the end of the garden, we installed a pair of matching gazebos trained
with evergreen climbers and roses.
Dense evergreen hedging encloses the boundary, and clipped box hedges frame the
footpaths. In turn, flowering roses, evergreens and herbaceous perennials provide
an informal contrast.
We are involved on a continual basis to develop and maintain the gardens.
